（亚庇16讯）商人Mr Edward Chua（蔡顺安），经已正式发出诉状，决定在高庭起诉2024年沙巴乒乓女队10岁及以下组教练Alan Albert Au 与Mr Sia Hock Chock！

蔡顺安也是沙巴乒乓总会 (STTA)会长兼亚庇乒乓协会会长，他要求2人公开道歉，并索赔RM500万。这个数目，被许多人形容为天价！狮子的大口开了，至于能不能吞得下500万，则胥拭目以待，看双方在高等法庭的表现。

Alan 在2024年11月24日召开的沙巴乒乓总会 (STTA)理事会，遭会长蔡顺安提议暂停职务，为期1年。这项提议据说先是被形容为“纪律行动” ，后被更改为 “冷静” 举措。

不管是“纪律行动”，还是“冷静”  举措，Alan 都认为对他不公平，因为，他事先没有被传召解析，就被进行单方面的判决。而涉嫌此事的另一方却没有被对付。

Alan 强调，会长不能只听取一方的片面之词，就对他采取行动，这样的判决难以教 人信服。

第35届全国MILO杯10及13岁以下乒乓赛，是于2024年10月28日至11月1日，在纳闽举行。Alan 不满领队分开女10岁组第一与第二球员组成双打配对，而是安排第一球员配对第四球员，第二球员配对三球员，以致10岁组女球员无缘在双打得奖。

在上述球赛，沙巴女10岁组球员表现不俗，队际方面，勇夺全国第三。单打方面，第一与第二球员亦分别赢得全国第三及第六名。2人若配对双打，被视为很有机会夺奖。

沙巴女10岁组第一球员是Alan球馆的学员，第二球员是SB球馆的学员；也是Tuaran乒乓协会的代表。

Alan 曾在媒体发表相关事宜。也曾经要求Tuaran乒乓协会把此事带入沙巴乒乓总会 (STTA) 讨论。可是，问题显然没有得到妥善处理，而是引发了法律问题。

Alan 与其朋友Sia Hock Chock后来发出6封公开信，针对沙巴乒乓总会会长和亚庇乒乓总会之事务，做出众多质疑并要求解析。 他们提出百多项受质疑的陈述，还在脸书揭发蔡氏。“大老千”和“大骗子”等词汇都被2人所应用！

蔡顺安于2025年 4 月7 日，正式向Alan 与Sia Hock Chock发出诉状，提出37项，力指两人恶意毁谤。

Sia Hock Chock说： “这是选择性起诉，乃法律所不应许的。”

据了解，面对RM500万官司，两人没有退缩，而是准备反起诉。

The dispute between Edward Chua and Alan Au now become the high court case

(Kota Kinabalu, April 16) Businessman Mr Edward Chua has officially filed a lawsuit and decided to sue Alan Albert Au, the coach of the U10 girl of the Sabah table tennis team in 2024 and Mr Sia Hock Chock in the High Court!

Edward is also the president of the Sabah Table Tennis Association (STTA) and the president of the Kota Kinabalu Table Tennis Association. He demands the two to apologize publicly and claim RM5 million. This amount is described by many as a sky-high price! The lion’s mouth is open, as for whether it can swallow 5 million, we have to wait and see how both parties perform in the High Court.

At the Sabah Table Tennis Association (STTA) AJK meeting held on November 24, 2024, Alan was proposed by the president Edward to suspend his position for a period of 1 year. This proposal was said to have been described as a “disciplinary action” at first, and then changed to a “cooling ” measure.

Whether it is a “disciplinary action” or a “cooling down” measure, Alan believes that it is unfair to him because he was not called to explain in advance and was judged unilaterally. The other party involved in the incident was not dealt with.

Alan emphasized that the president cannot act against him based on the one-sided words of one party. Such a judgment is difficult to convince people.

The 35th National MILO Cup U10 and 13 Years Old Table Tennis Tournament was held in Labuan from October 28 to November 1, 2024. Alan was dissatisfied with the team manager for separating the first and second players of U10 girl to form a double pairing, but arranged the first player to pair with the fourth player and the second player to pair with the third player, thus, both pairs are not able to grasp the medal in doubles competition.

In the above-mentioned game, the Sabah U10 girl players performed well, and won the third place in the national games in terms of team event. In singles, the first and second players also won the third and sixth place respectively. If the two are paired in doubles, they are considered to have a good chance of winning.

The first player in Sabah’s U10 girl is a student of Alan, and the second player is a student of SB Ping Pong Centre; she is also the representative of the Tuaran Table Tennis Association.

Alan had published relevant matters in the social media. He also requested the Tuaran Table Tennis Association to bring the matter to the Sabah Table Tennis Association (STTA) for review. However, the problem was obviously not properly handled, but instead caused legal issues.

Alan and his friend Sia Hock Chock later issued 6 open letters, questioning the president of the Sabah Table Tennis Association. They also brought up some issue related of the Kota Kinabalu Table Tennis Association. They made more than a hundred questionable statements and exposed Edward Chua on the Facebook. Words such as “big cheater” and “big liar” were used by the two!

On April 7, 2025, Edward officially filed a lawsuit against Alan and Sia Hock Chock, making 37 points, accusing the two of malicious defamation.

Sia Hock Chock said: “This is a selective prosecution, which is not allowed by law.”

It is understood that in the face of the RM5 million lawsuit, the two did not back down, but prepared to counter-sue.
