(亚庇25日讯)来自中国贵州铜仁市的鑫星乒乓球俱乐部队技高一筹,在2024 沙巴国际乒乓邀请赛(总决赛),以3比1拿下由中国与沙巴球员结合的Mixspins-China 队后。荣夺团体组冠军。
鑫星乒乓球俱乐部队是由领队田茂鸿,中国大学冠军钟何彬,八一女球员王慧娟,和沙巴的李天斌所组成。王慧娟和钟何彬在团体赛中,皆保持不败纪录,一路轻而易举地暂将过关。成为该队赢得冠军杯和RM5000奖金的奠基石。
Mixspins-China是由沙巴的Nathan Lucas Hiew, 与中国的钟雨君(Zhong Yu Jun)和陈小甜(Chen xiao Tian)组成,这队的2 名中国球员亦备受瞩目。他们领走RM4000.
拥有1名前女国手及2名砂拉越州手的Extreme(Yellow),表现亦不俗,棒走了季军杯以及RM3000.
男单方面,西马的Quek Seng Yen 为球迷制造了一个看头,爆冷战胜了中国的钟何彬而赢得冠军,领走RM300奖金。亚军钟何彬得RM200,第三名是沙巴的Alan Au 和西马的Lim Boon Kheng。
中国的王慧娟也是女单冠军,前国手砂拉越的Sammi Tay排名第二,第三是砂拉越的Jenny Cheu和沙巴的刘明珍(Lorna Law)。
这项比赛是由沙巴人民联盟Gabungan Rakyat Sabah(GRS) 与斗亚兰乒乓协会联合主办。有18支球队报名参赛。男单有32人, 女单16人。
总决赛是于本月23及24日,在位于沙巴亚庇山丽园的沙巴乒乓馆(SB Ping Pong Centre)举行。比赛获得良好评价,在和平的情况下进行,许多乒乓爱好者见到了高超球艺,更是大呼过瘾。
是项比赛,高手如云,参赛的球员包括来自中国、韩国、泰国、新加坡、香港、西马、砂拉越和沙巴。其中以西马球员为多,包括1名少年国手。1名前女国手。1名前男国手,此外,有8位球员来自中国,多位水平响叮当。
这次比赛最大的特色是过半球队是由不同地区之球员联合组成。这也达成了主办这项国际乒乓邀请赛“广推乒乓运动,促进各国乒乓爱好者之情谊”的宗旨。

China Xinxing Table Tennis Club Team Wins the Championship
(Kota Kinabalu, 25th) The Xinxing Table Tennis Club team from Tongren City, Guizhou, China, is superior in skills. In the Sabah International Table Tennis Invitational Tournament 2024 (Grand Final), it defeated the Mixspins-China team, which is composed of Chinese and Sabah players, 3-1. It won the team category.
The Xinxing Table Tennis Club team is composed of team leader Tian Maohong, Chinese university champion Zhong Hebin, Bayi female player Wang Huijuan, and Sabah’s Li Tianbing. Wang Huijuan and Zhong Hebin both maintained an unbeaten record in the team competition and easily passed the test all the way. It became the cornerstone for the team to win the championship cup and RM5000 prize money.
Mixspins-China is composed of Nathan Lucas Hiew from Sabah, Zhong Yujun and Chen xiao Tian from China. The two Chinese players in this team are also highly anticipated. They took away RM4000.
Extreme (Yellow), which has 1 former female Malaysia national player and 2 Sarawak state players, also performed well and took away the third place cup and RM3000.
In the men’s singles, Quek Seng Yen from West Malaysia created a spectacle for the fans, defeating China’s Zhong Hebin unexpectedly to win the championship and take away RM300 prize money. The runner-up Zhong Hebin won RM200, and the third place went to Alan Au from Sabah and Lim Boon Kheng from West Malaysia.
China’s Wang Huijuan was also the women’s singles champion, former national player Sammi Tay from Sarawak ranked second, and the third place went to Jenny Cheu from Sarawak and Lorna Law from Sabah.
The competition was jointly organized by Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) and the Tuaran Table Tennis Association. 18 teams registered to participate. There were 32 men’s singles and 16 women’s singles.
The Tournament was held on the 23rd and 24th of this month at the Sabah Ping Pong Centre in Sunny Garden, Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. The competition received good reviews and was held in a peaceful environment. Many table tennis enthusiasts were very excited to see the superb skills.
This competition was full of champion players, and the participating players included players from China, South Korea, Thailand, Singapore, Hong Kong, West Malaysia, Sarawak and Sabah. Among them, there were more players from West Malaysia, including 1 junior national player, 1 former female national player and 1 former male national player. In addition, there were 8 players from China, many of whom were very skilled.
The biggest feature of this competition is that more than half of the teams are composed of players from different regions. This also achieved the purpose of hosting this international table tennis invitational tournament to “promote table tennis and promote friendship among table tennis enthusiasts from all countries.”
